Zywieckie Suwakowanie

He was born in Bytom in 1981. While studying at the PSM im. Fryderyk Chopin in Bytom has been already awarded many times in competitions in Jastrzębie-Zdrój and in Tarnowskie Góry. He graduated from the Academy of Music. K. Szymanowski in Katowice, in the tuba class of prof. Jan Górny. He won the 1st prize in the National Competition of Chamber Ensembles in Warsaw (2003), a distinction in the International Brass Instruments Competition in Gdańsk (2002), 2nd place in the Brass Instruments Competition for a YAMAHA scholarship (2003). In 2003-2004, he received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Art for outstanding achievements.

 

 

He deepened his education at music courses in Poland and abroad, including: Internationale Junge Orchester Akademie in Bayreuth (Germany), Idyllwild Arts Summer Program (USA). Since 2002, he has been a solo tubist of NOSPR; with this band he performed many times in the country and abroad. He also collaborates with other Polish orchestras such as: Sinfonietta Cracovia, Symfonia Varsovia, Orkiestra Aukso and Orkiestra Muzyki Nowa. In addition to orchestral activity, he derives particular satisfaction from solo and chamber music. He performed solo with such orchestras as Capella Cracoviensis, the Silesian Philharmonic and the Polish Youth Orchestra.

 

 

Since 2002, he has been conducting a lively concert activity with his own chamber ensemble Cracow Brass Quintet, with which he won the second prize at the National Competition of Chamber Ensembles in Warsaw in 2005.

 

From October 2006 teaches the tuba at the Academy of Music in Łódź.
