Jędrzej Mehring began his musical education at the State Primary Music School in Wejherowo, and then continued at the General Secondary Music School (primary and secondary level) in Gdańsk. He graduated with distinction from the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków, where he studied euphonium under Dr. habil. Jakub Urbańczyk. He also studied tuba and euphonium with Maestro Eros Sabbatini at the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, Italy.
He has participated in masterclasses led by artists such as Steven Mead, Thomas Rüedi, Øystein Baadsvik, Thomas Leleu, Laimonas Masevičius, Sergio Carolino, Dirk Hirthe, Zdzisław Stolarczyk, and Grzegorz Leczkowski. He also took part in the international Chicago Philharmonic project.
He is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions in both solo and chamber music categories, including the 2nd International Wind Instruments Competition Finalis, the 3rd Chamber Tournament In Three Acts, the 14th Sochaczew Chamber Music Meetings (with the BrasSmalLet’s Duo), and the 49th National Karol Kurpiński Young Musicians Competition.
He has collaborated with many orchestras and ensembles in Poland and abroad, including the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the National Wind Orchestra in Lubin, the Kraków Philharmonic, the Silesian Philharmonic, Sinfonietta Cracovia, and the Baltic Opera, with which he toured Germany, as well as the Rebel Babel Ensemble. He is a member of the Poznań Brass quintet and president of the Pacholski Polish Brass Band, which performs in the British brass band style.
He has conducted workshops for euphonium players during the Central European Academic Meeting of Tubists and Euphonists in Kraków and the 4th International Tuba and Euphonium Symposium in Poznań. Since 2022, he has been a member and soloist of the Representative Orchestra of the Polish Air Force named after Karol Kurpiński.
