He was born in Jaworzno. His first trombone teacher was Jan Jarosz, followed by Ryszard Bednarek and Zdzisław Stolarczyk. He received his diploma from the Karol Szymanowski Secondary Music School in Katowice, studying in the class of Bogdan Kantor. He went on to graduate from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.

Between 1982 and 1986, he studied under Professor Jan Górny. From 1985 to 1989, he performed at the Teatr Rozrywki w Chorzowie; from 1986 to 1990, he was a member of the Silesian Philharmonic; and since 1990, he has been associated with the Warsaw Philharmonic. In 2014, director Jacek Kasprzyk appointed him bass trombone soloist of the orchestra.

Krzysztof won first prize at the Brass Instruments Competition in Gdańsk in 1986, in the trombone and tuba category. For twenty years, he trained under his mentor and friend Ardash Marderosian, principal trombonist of the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

He collaborates with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera, Pomeranian Philharmonic, and the Polish Radio Orchestra. In 1996, he performed with the international orchestra Sinfonia Helvetica under conductor G. Nowak, with Krystian Zimerman as soloist.

Since 1997, he has performed in a trio with A. Sienkiewicz (tenor trombone) and G. Gorczyca (piano). Between 1992 and 1994, he worked as a brass instructor at the Jeunesses Musicales orchestra camps. Since 2018, he has been a trombone teacher at the ZPSM No. 1 in Warsaw.

He is the founder of a trombone octet composed of musicians from the Silesian Philharmonic, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Warsaw Philharmonic. In 2018, he recorded a live album with Warsaw Philharmonic musicians titled “Krąg Tanga”. He is an artist of Buffet Crampon Group and performs on a B&S Sarastro bass trombone.
