Żywieckie Suwakowanie 

XIX edition of the largest trombone and tuba
event in Poland 
 July 20-26, 2025

He is a student at the Academy of Music in Katowice, at the Faculty of Jazz and Stage Music. His musical journey began at the age of 3, when his teacher Rafał Mizdalski (his godfather) made a special trombone suitable for a young child. He later continued his education in Bielsko-Biała and at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hanover.
 

For many years, he has participated in numerous events, competitions, concerts in Poland and abroad, as well as masterclasses led by distinguished musicians and educators, including Ben van Dijk, Peter Malton, Zoltan Kiss, Jose Sibaja, Tomer Maschkowski, Dietmar Küblböck, and Michael Steinkuhler. He has frequently performed in Italy, Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands.
 

In 2020, he won the prestigious IPV International Trombone Competition in Saarbrücken.
 

He is a multiple-time scholarship recipient from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, as well as the Mayor of Szczecinek. He was also a recipient of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage’s “Młoda Polska” program in 2016. Maciej is a member of the Trombone Unit Hannover and the founder of the band Re-join, with whom he is currently working on the release of their first original album.
